Our Purpose

 

DreamTeams supports the participation of neurodivergent individuals in community service projects and advocates for increased employment opportunities on behalf of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

In the US, only 19% of people with intellectual disabilities are actively employed, including those with very mild cognitive challenges, and many of those who are employed can find only part-time jobs. This can create a heightened sense of isolation and stigma.

DreamTeams addresses this by creating opportunities to engage in service and to integrate into the social fabric of their communities.
